The Birka 22 motif was found on the Swedish site of Birka on Björkö just west of Stockholm. The pattern itself posted online by Carolyn Priest-Dorman in 1993 and is quite easy to use once you get the hang of it.
This type of tablet weaving is done using a thread-in pattern and does not allow the freedom own designing on the fly but makes some very nice patterns nonetheless.
