The ARK system is capable of presenting spatial data in the Map view and pulling out features linked to certain items in the Micro view. For more on how to set this up see the dissertation or the instructions manual (Appendix A).
To see the ARK spatial capabilities in use go to the Portus or Sintana ARK applications and have a look at the Micro view and Map view
A part of the dissertation was to take the spatial data used in the ARK system and create a WFS server with this. More information about this can be read in the dissertation or the instructions manual (Appendix A).
The WFS server is:

The WFS service for the Sintana project gives access to four spatial map layers and through the getcapabilities function if is possible to see the specifications for the service
Layers:To show of the advantages of serving map data as WFS I created a ka-Map interface which retrieves this WFS and the landsat 5 WMS. Unfortuenately this will not work on the online server but can be viewed from the University of Southampton web-site if you are on the university network. More can be read about this in the dissertation or the instructions manual (Appendix A).
The image shows how the landsat 5 and the Sintana data are working together in ka-Map.
