I am so proud of my husband, John. He has been working so hard this last year on getting his illustrations out there and as most who have ever tried to sell anything handmade will tell you, it’s so tough to get going with something like that.
He has a fun spin on illustrations, I think, in that he draws with black ink and then leaves the colouring in to the customer. I personally love colouring in and most adults I know do to. But you could also leave his drawings in black and white. The other newish thing he is trying is selling his drawings as a digital file that the customer can download and print themselves as many times as they want. This is perfect for the colouring in pages. Don’t worry though, for the custom house and other portraits he will send an original drawing by post 🙂
So, today I would like to ask everyone who reads this to go over and have a look at his portfolio. A good place to begin is with the free download of one of his special Christmas time illustrations, perfect for colouring in and sending off as a Christmas card.
You can check out his other Christmas illustrations in his Etsy shop, where you can buy an instant downloadable version. Even if you are not able to buy one of his drawings, it would really mean a lot to the both of us if you would take the time to spread the word them on social media by liking, tweeting and pinning and in real life. It really helps spread the word.
Also he is at a stage now where he would love to send around a bundle of different drawings to relevant bloggers who would like to review them or use them as a giveaway. Just get in touch if you know of anyone who may be interested 🙂
