Knitting presents for Bess

with 5 Comments

Again today when I checked the mail there was a wonderful present in there. A friend from my old knitting group had sent a wonderful aviatrix. I love this pattern and have already knitted a couple for Bess in smaller sizes so I was so happy to recieve this in a bigger size. Thanks Trudy!

Now I thought it was about time to show off the other knitted pressies we have recieved too.
There was a funky pair of socks from Sue – thanks Sue! At the moment they are still big enough to be outer socks in the sling.

Then we have a very pretty cardi from a family friend – thanks Helle!

And a stripy wrap cardi in some cool bright colours – thanks Lynne!

And finally, a beautiful lacy cardi for when she grows a bit more – thanks Caitriona!

I am so grateful to all of you for these wonderful gifts!

I really liked your website – I hope you find somebody to switch needles with. I make a lot of babyclothes for a charity org. here in Denmark and would love to try the pattern for the aviatrix Bess Got. It it is really cute. Is it possible that you could mail it to me. Tanks. All the Best Mette

      Hi Mette,
Thank you for your kind words 🙂
I love the aviatrix pattern too. What a great idea to knit this pattern for charity. I know from her copyright statement that the designer Justine Turner wholeheartedly approves of this.
I can’t mail it to you though but I can link you to her ravelry.com page where you can download the pattern.
If you are on ravelry.com you can also join her group where there is much help to get if you run into problems with the pattern. Good luck with it!
I would love to see some pictures of the finished hat – perhaps you could post them on my facebook page.

Perhaps I should just add that Justine Turner has published this wonderful helmet pattern for free with a limited commercial license. But please visit her ravelry page for more details.

Lucky Bess. I especially like the little grey cardi.

I’m actually here to offer you a Versatile Blogger Award. You can either accept the compliment, or you can accept the award by playing by the ‘rules’ (which I broke) over on my blog.
