Laundry bags and guest blogging on whip-up

September 25, 2011 in Fibre crafts, Motherhood, Refashioning, Sewing by Eddie

This morning I received an email from my friend Dawn saying – I saw you on Whip-up. I was so excited and couldn’t wait to go and have a look at my first ever guest post on Whip-up. Kathreen recently invited me to do a post and I chose to talk about maternity refashions. Not that I have been very successful with my own maternity refashions (have a look at the attempted trousers refashion) – which I am hoping to finish for the ongoing Maternity refashion challenge over on the Refashion Co-op at the moment.
If you want to strut your favorite maternity refashions please join us on Facebook (either my page or the Refashion Co-op’s page).

So that you don’t get the idea that I only have babies on my mind at the moment I am just going to show you one of the projects I have been working on recently. I have been making laundry bags for the new flat. I am very pleased with them and thinking of putting them on my to-make for Christmas presents list. They are very handy for people who travel a lot.

This is how they turned out:
