Living room – before and after photos

with 6 Comments

As promised a couple of photos of how its all shaping out here in Denmark.

Living room - before and after

The rocking chair is an Ercol I thrifted. The picture on the wall of the cat and birds is my morning present from John. To the left you can see the suitcase I refurbished and in the window the globe I refurbished too.

Dining room - before and after

The table was my grandmothers and the chairs were a lucky thrift find. The method of hanging the pictures is one I stumbled across on Pinterest. The photos are some that I have taken mainly in Italy with my Brownie box camera combined with some small prints of London and Southampton (more thrift finds). The copper look lamp was another thrift find and the tea light holder is from Kvindesmedien.

I’m admiring the arrangement of photos on your wall, and thinking of pinching the idea for our new house. Your flat does look lovely and light and airy.

Thanks Lynne – it seems a lot bigger than the old flat even though there is probably the same amount of space. Its a bit messy right now though as I am trying to make curtains. 🙂

Ha ha! But you are right Dawn, its nice that the rooms in the flat are more continuous without all that hallway.

The flat looks very good. I love all the light you have coming in and the floors. I am jealous of your ercol rocker! That may be a good place to sit with your baby next year. x
