Planning a patchwork project

with 1 Comment

This weekend we had a great visit from a ‘crafty’ friend and her husband 🙂 We showed her around Munich and surprisingly she felt right at home with the food here being from German descendants in the US. Lots of breze and beer!!
We went spent a good amount of time knitting and checking out each other’s family trees. And I got to planning for a new project for when I am re-united with my sewing machine.

Dawn brought me a copy of Mollie Makes magazine, the Home edition, a great read. In it I found the tutorial for the Camilla patchwork quilt by Nicki Trench and I decided it was a good opportunity to buy some bits of fabric I liked and put together a little quilt for our bed. I know I am making the knitted Hexapuffs for the same purpose but that is a long project and I want a quilt for the bed now.

Fabric for my patchwork project

The London style fabric was bought in February in Liberties in London and the other 6 fabrics I bought yesterday in Karstadt in Munich. Now I just need another 14 fabric pieces and I have enough 😉

Dawn also brought a lovely blouse for Bess that she had knit to match her own blouse.  <3 having crafty friends!
